I was honoured to be elected as President for the 2026–2027 term at the 49th Annual General Meeting held on 19 April 2026. With the trust and support of our member associations, I am deeply aware of the responsibility and duty entrusted to me.

Looking ahead, together with the newly elected Committees, we will advance the Federation and the industry to greater heights, guided by the core principles of “Unity, Enhancement, Expansion, and Continuity.” We will further strengthen solidarity among our members, enhance governance standards, transparency, and professionalism, and build a more credible and influential industry platform. At the same time, we will continue to deepen engagement with relevant government authorities, proactively voicing industry concerns and advocating for more supportive policies and a conducive business environment.

In terms of market development, we will actively encourage members to participate in key domestic and international exhibitions and trade events, expanding global exposure and business networks while elevating the competitiveness and visibility of Malaysia’s gold and jewellery industry. The Federation will also promote greater industry collaboration, drive technological innovation, and enhance marketing capabilities, encouraging members to embrace digital tools and emerging platforms in line with evolving market trends.

In addition, we place strong emphasis on talent development and the preservation of craftsmanship. Through collaboration with relevant institutions, we aim to nurture skilled professionals, attract younger generations into the industry, and encourage enterprises to invest in research and design, creating high value-added brands with distinctive Malaysian cultural identity.

Moving forward, I look forward to working hand in hand with all member associations to strengthen unity, drive sustainable growth, and position Malaysia’s gold and jewellery industry on a stronger international footing.
